Join Food Network Star Marcus Samuelsson, Food Network Magazine editors and International Culinary Center chef-instructors and learn how COOK LIKE A STAR at the second Food Network Magazine Cooking School. Cook, learn and have fun at this one-of-a-kind event! Select the morning event with breakfast (8:30AM - 12:30PM) or the afternoon event with lunch (2PM - 6PM; NOTE - AFTERNOON SESSION is SOLD OUT). Every guest will receive an event gift bag, a Food Network Magazine branded apron and gifts from sponsors. FAQs What is the format for the lessons? Each class/lesson will be approximately 50 minutes. Roast Masters will be a chef led demo class and panel discussion. Designed as an observation class, participants watch while chefs explain and show recipe preparation and cooking techniques. A Cut Above: Knife Skills & Starters and Ready…Set…Decorate! will be chef-instructor led active participation classes. These classes will be HANDS ON. These are full participation classes. Students take part in practicing techniques and preparing the menu items. There will be break time in between lessons. Will I get to eat, and can I take home food? There will be tons to eat. Breakfast and snack break during the morning session and lunch and snack break during the afternoon sessions. Both participatory lessons will also offer the opportunity to try something that will be made in class. Guests will take home a gift bag filled with goodies. Can I bring in outside food and or beverage? No, we do not allow outside food & beverage. Do I need to bring anything with me? Please bring your ticket to gain entry. Aprons and everything else needed for the cooking school will be provided. How old do I need to be to attend? All guests must be 21 years of age or older as we will be serving alcoholic beverages. What if I have a food allergy? Recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact us prior to event day. Adjustments to event recipes menu cannot be made during class. What should I wear? You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class event time. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. What is your cancellation policy for classes? Payment in full is required at the time of registration. No refunds are offered on classes and events. Where can I park? The closest parking garage is located at 40 Mercer Street at Grand Street. What is the closest subway or bus?
