You are invited to attend the QSITE AGM 24 February 6.30pm for nibblies and networking 7pm Keynote – Paul Herring: IPT 2.0 is Here; ITS is MIA: Changes to the Senior Syllabus Followed by Lauren Stanhope sharing the latest on the CSER MOOC Venue: 70-72 Bowen St, Spring Hill IPT 2.0 is Here; ITS is MIA: This presentation will start with an overview of the QCAA process to date and status of Draft 2 of the Digital Solutions subject/syllabus, as well as a quick look at the Design subject. Following this, we will look in some depth, at the content of the 4 Units proposed and related issues in terms of programming languages, design methodologies, complexity, order of implementation and assessment, etc. There will also be some comment on the assessment approach and methodologies to be implemented. Finally we will briefly look at where this course fits into the need for IT to be part of the Senior School curriculum. That is the evidence-based recognition and need to offer courses at the level of Digital Literacy; Digital Fluency, and Digital Mastery (this proposed Digital Solutions course fits here). You don’t have to be a member to attend and You don’t have to worry about being co-opted onto the QSITE board.
