Strategy Roundtable Evening On Wednesday evening 27 September 2017, On My Feet is hosting an inaugural event which aims to provide WA participants in the Social Enterprise Program an opportunity to pitch their drafted business plans to a cohort of industry professionals. The industry professionals, ranging from a variety of corporate areas, are encouraged to openly provide feedback to the students and potentially connect them with people in their own professional network who may be able to assist in their business plans. Networking drinks and canapes will be provided, with the event taking place on Level 1 of the new City of Perth Library. Proceeds raised from ticket sales will be donated to On My Feet and will provide assistance to homeless people in Australia and South Africa. What is the Social Enterprise Program? The Social Enterprise Program is a unique 11-week competition among tertiary students in Australia that aims to develop the skills of entrepreneurship and innovation whilst raising funds to assist homeless people in Australia and internationally. Candidates participating in the Program are required to develop and execute a business plan in assigned teams of two or three, along with the support of a Corporate Mentor, to sell On My Feet branded running socks. WA students in 2017 have been fortunate enough to be mentored by professionals from Macqaurie Bank, Westpac Banking Corporation, Chevron and KordaMentha. On My Feet established the Social Enterprise Program to provide practical business opportunities to university students, whilst raising funds to assist homeless people in Australia and internationally.
