Supporting Dignity at End-of-Life - Exploring Solutions to Disparities in Care A conference and research study organized by Healing Care Hospice and co-hosted by the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work's Departments of Adult Mental Health and Wellness and Nursing. Grief and loss expert and author David Kessler and End-of-Life Clinician G. Jay Westbrook will serve as this year's featured keynote speakers. This conference will explore concepts of dignity, suffering, quality of life, self-determination, service, and what it means to have a good death, all within the prism of Southern California's multi-cultural and diverse landscape. Explore solutions to disparities in end-of-life care and planning through discourse and study with members across the medical, faith and service provider communities. Strengthen your understanding of how different populations struggle at the end of life and acquire knowledge and tools that will enable you to support dignity at end-of-life where it is not supported. Nurses, LCSW's, and MFT's are eligible to receive CEU credits. Breakfast and lunch is included.
