The IIBA Perth Branch is looking forward to hosting our April event with an interesting presentation on IIBA certification paths and more details about BABOK® Version3. Business Analysis career roadmap – All you wanted to know! This enlightening session covers the new structured career paths with the new levels of certification. Do you want to gain professional certification but uncertain where to start and how to proceed? Natalie Baxter, Education Coordinator for the Perth branch of IIBA will cover all 4 new levels of IIBA certification. You will understand the requirements and prerequisites for each level and you will also learn what is involved and how to prepare for each level of certification. We will cover the topic of BABOK® Study Groups. This is a “hot topic” whether you are seeking certification, recertification or enrich your knowledge and skills by going through a shared learning experience moderated by qualified facilitators. You can connect with the wider BA community in Perth. We will also do a summary review of what is new in BABOK® Version3 as a taster for those who are seeking to understand what has changed. Start Today! Speaker Biographies: Natalie Baxter – Education Co-ordinator IIBA Perth Natalie Baxter is CBAP certified, and is currently working as Lead Business Analyst at RAC. After graduating from ANU with Bachelor of Economics and Arts (Asian Studies), Natalie started her career in Customer Service at Optus. With a thirst for learning and eager to explore new career opportunities, Natalie quickly progressed from the frontline to projects in a rapidly growing organisation, moving on from Subject Matter Expert to Business Process Analyst, before embarking on her Business Analyst career in 1999. The role was not only her first foray into large scale projects, but also her window to the world, taking her to the UK and Japan, as a Business Analyst on a global online procurement project. She has since worked in a number of industries including the Local Government, Telecommunications, Wealth Services and Aged Care, on a variety of projects including new network infrastructure, new products, system enhancements and legislative changes. With a passion for people and continuous improvement, Natalie has recently joined the IIBA Perth Branch as Education Coordinator. Cora Stapleton – Certification & Education Director IIBA Australia Chapter After graduating with a masters degree in Computer Science, Cora has over 25 years of project delivery experience. She has a passion for business analysis, and has recently started up her own consultancy, consulting within a government agency. Prior to that she managed and developed a team of business analysts within the financial services industry for over 6 years. Cora is CBAP certified and has been elected and played a key director role with the International Institute for Business Analysis Australia. As Director for Certification and Education since June 2012, she has rolled out a standardised BABOK ® Study group nationally, transitioned study groups to V3 and presented at both national conferences and local business analysis events.
